New brand identity and website for a psychologist

Francesco Colombo is a psychologist who works in the Lecco area (Lombardy, Italy). As soon as he started his freelance activity he asked me to ideate and create a website that explains his approach and clinical services.
Creation of the brand
Before working on the website, I thought it would be necessary to start from the basis: the brand identity. A logo was indeed missing. Starting from the story of a dream in which a triangle and a lotus flower were the main elements, I studied a stylization of the two shapes and how to make them dialogue. With Francesco, we chose blue as the brand color.
We chose a pictogram without plain colors, made only by lines. The aim of the brand is indeed to express calm, professionality and affidability. The logo was applied on a business card.
Analysis and construction of the website
With Francesco, I studied the advantages and critical issues of competitor’s websites. The objective was to structure a simple and intuitive architecture of information that helps the final users.
For Francesco’s website I fully covered the role of web designer. I was indeed responsible of:
- technical functioning of the site
- design and creation of web pages with WordPress
- graphic design
- user experience design.
I also curated the SEO (search engine optimization) of texts and the connection of the website with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
I worked on this project in my free time, since I was still a full time employee. Being able to carry it out and reach the final objective with Francesco was for me a big satisfaction.
Next step will be to develop the blog area that will help the website to reach higher positions in search engines.
